the soul team
jamie (mcfall) bell, owner
Hi, i’m Jamie! The owner of Soul Yoga and an experienced Registered Yoga Teacher E-RYT-500 through Yoga Alliance. From the very first time I stepped on my mat in 2013, I instantly fell in love with the practice of yoga. I vividly remember leaving my second class with this deep feeling that one day I would own my own space (a little crazy, i know) and here we are. I graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint with a Bachelors's degree in Communication & a minor in Entrepreneurship in 2015. I’m extremely passionate about continuing education and will forever be a dedicated yoga student as well as a teacher. Nothing feeds my soul more than holding space for others to experience this healing practice. Opening Soul Yoga has truly been a dream come true for me to say the least.
I found this practice during a very trying time in my life, as I was struggling with anxiety and depression as well as severe back pain. Shortly after I was diagnosed with Scoliosis (curvature of the spine) I knew it was time to step out of my comfort zone and try something new, like yoga. Thankfully, I finally found a safe space to explore, grow, & be the most raw version of myself without feeling judged. With a consistent yoga practice for about 9 years now, I can happily say that I have virtually zero daily back pain, as well as very limited anxiety.
My purpose here at Soul has been to create a space where EVERYONE feels welcome, safe, supported & seen. “Come as you are, come feed your soul."

Heather Bowman, instructor
Heather found yoga at a time when she was searching for something new, and from her very first class, it quickly became a way of life. She noticed early on that yoga not only improved her physical well-being but also positively shifted her mood, mindset, and relationships. Her daily practice deepened into a calling to share yoga with others. Heather completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at UpDog Yoga in Rochester, Michigan, and is currently pursuing her 500-hour certification through Yoga Medicine—a program that blends Eastern philosophy with Western medicine. She values a diverse and balanced approach to movement, loving everything from slow, grounding Yin to powerful, steamy Vinyasa. Heather is passionate about creating a welcoming space where students can individually discover what yoga offers them. She looks forward to meeting you on the mat and sharing this meaningful practice.

Kristen is a mother of three beautiful girls and a lover of life, nature, essential oils—and of course, yoga. She was first introduced to the practice in college and instantly recognized its unique power. After becoming a mother (to her first daughter in 2014 and twins in 2016), Kristen found herself seeking a place to reconnect with herself and restore balance amid the chaos of motherhood. That’s when she discovered Soul Yoga. The welcoming space, supportive community, and grounding practice helped her rediscover her light. Inspired to share that light with others, Kristen completed her teacher training in fall 2018 with Maureen Bosker of Yoga in the Woods and Jamie at Soul. Jamie Ford, instructor
Jamie views yoga as a form of medicine—a curious and playful way to explore balance both on and off the mat. Forever a student, she’s fascinated by human behavior, sensation, and consciousness, weaving these elements into an ever-evolving asana practice. Her classes are never the same and never about right or wrong—they're about discovery.
Jamie’s teaching encourages students to trust themselves as their own best teacher. Through mindful movement and breath awareness, her classes offer space to move freely, soften tension, and quiet the noise of the mind.
Off the mat, Jamie thrives in the financial world and on her budding organic produce farm, which she runs with her husband. Dogs and garlic are her love language. Every life experience informs her understanding of wellness—and her deep belief that yoga connects us to it all.

Erin Keros, Front Desk & Instructor
Erin found yoga—and Soul Yoga—during a time when something felt missing. Yoga kept showing up in her life, and after learning about its many benefits, she followed that quiet spark of curiosity. On a snowy January night, she stepped into Soul for a Candlelight Flow class and immediately felt at home. From that first deep breath to savasana, she knew she had discovered something transformative: a path back to herself.
Over the past four years, Erin has practiced nearly 900 times, diving into classes, workshops, retreats, and deep connections that helped her find balance and authenticity. She recently completed her 200-hour teacher training with Jamie Bell at Soul and is now honored to be part of the teaching team.
Erin’s classes are a welcoming space to breathe, explore, and reconnect—with yourself, your body, and your dreams. Welcome to the community.
